WV for the 5th year in a row. For the weekend of June 12 & 13, 2010 our Parkersburg City Park will be
transformed into Mackerville, USA!! Get your team together today for the finest 3-on-3 street ball tournament in the
nation, or just come on out to see our Park's transformation to basketball city! Tournament is open to all ages, all abilities,

Elementary Track season
is upon us! Track events will begin in April and run through May. WCRC hosts 6 Elementary meets, including the
District 5 and Hershey Qualifier. Final dates are still pending, details being worked out, and will be available on
our website the moment they become available. Final dates will also be given to your schools and coaches.

WCRC Mission Statement The Wood County
Recreation Commission was established on September 17, 1945 as a joint effort by the City of Parkersburg, City of Vienna,
Wood County, and Wood County Board of Education. With one common goal in mind: to provide quality, affordable
recreational opportunities for the residents of Wood County and surrounding areas. Today we strive to continue
this tradition by providing the most affordable, quality sports programs for the youth of our community.

30th Annual Parkersburg Fishing Derby will be held at Parkersburg
City Park and Southwood Park on April 17, 2010. NO FISHING permitted
April 15 - April 17... limited fising from April 17 - 24 to children, handicapped, and senior citizens ONLY.

Ages 3-6 9:00 a.m. - Noon

Rules
- No Fishing Lures
- No Fishing from Piers
- One Pole Per Fisherman
- No Net Fishing
- 4 Fish Per Fisherman
- You may assist the fisherman, however, only the ages specified are permitted to fish.
- Decision of Judges Final
(Proof of age may be required of winners)
- No Fishing from April 15th- April 17th, 2010
- Fishing will be restricted form 1:00 p.m. on April 17 through April 24th to children
ages 3-14, Senior Citizens, and Handicapped.
- Open Fishing on April 24, 2010.
- State & Federal regulations in effect, including necessary license and stamp.
Prizes will be awarded in each age group in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Prizes also awarded
for Grand Champion, Largest Non-Trout and Smallest Fish.
Golden Trout (1 in each pond) winner will received $100.00, donated in Memory of
Al Smith. All Fish must be caught during the derby in order to claim prize.
