Description
This is the official web page for the WV Honey Festival Princess Pageant.

Due to a recent turnover in the WV Honey Festival board, the Honey Princess Pageant is under new management.

We appreciate your continued support as we work hard to maintain this valued tradition....

Please note the following information:

The 2014 West Virginia Honey Princess pageant is open to female contestants ages 8 – 12 years old. This pageant is open only to West Virginia residents, however Ohio residents may enter with sponsorship from a member of the West Virginia Bee Keeper’s Association.

Interviews: Each contestant will have a one-on-one interview with each judge on Friday. After interviews, we will have a pizza party for contestants and parents will have the opportunity to speak with the Pageant Director to answer any questions. Interview attire for Friday’s personal interview will be casual street wear. Contestants SHOULD NOT wear formal interview outfits.

Competition: Saturday, at 10:00 am at the WV Honey Festival, City Park, Parkersburg. Contestants will wear age-appropriate Sunday best or party dresses for Saturday’s pageant. No pageant/glitz dresses.

All contestants will receive appreciation awards. The “West Virginia Honey Princess” will receive banners, trophies, etc. The West Virginia Honey Princess will be expected to remain at the Festival on Saturday following her crowning, and will be expected to make appearances at scheduled activities on Sunday.

The “West Virginia Honey Princess” will be expected to attend events at the West Virginia Honey Festival following her crowning, and will act as the ambassador for the West Virginia Honey Festival until the following year's Festival.

Please enclose a black/white or color photo to be used for the newspaper. Photos will be returned to the contestant on the day of the pageant.
